German bass (1880-1941). Autograph letter signed, 1 sheet, handwritten on both sides and signed on verso, dated in 1935. In German, sold untranslated, size is 8.25 x 11.5 inches, in excellent condition.

French pianist, composer and teacher (1852-1914), the first famous pianist to make recordings. Pugno was well known for his interpretations of Mozart works. Autograph letter signed by him, dated in 1901, in French, sold untranslated. Two pages, each written only on one side with signature on the second page. Pages are sized 5.25 x 7 inches, have folds, in excellent condition. Also included are: 1) a vintage photo, 4 x 6 inches, inscribed, with a signature at the bottom. Signature is partially cut, photo is mounted on a larger piece of paper, size is 4.6 x 7.25 inches, excellent condition, 2) an unsigned photo postcard of him, 3.5 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Famous English piano impresario and manufacturer (1811-1893), the grandson of John Broadwood (1732-1812), who in 1774 founded the famous piano manufacturing company Broadwood & Sons. Henry took over in 1836, taking the company to a new level. Autograph note signed, to German music critic Eduard Hanslick (1825-1904), one sheet handwritten on both sides with signature on verso, undated, in English. Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, sold untranscribed, in excellent condition. Broadwood thanks Hanslick for a present (a book or brochure), expressing his wish to get the opportunity to thank him in person.

German violist (b.1968), co-founder of the Zehetmair Quartet, an ensemble that has won awards for its recordings. Signed photo shown during performance. Size 6 x 4 inches.

Czech guitarist (b.1925) who developed a career in classical music as well as in jazz music. Some of his compositions incorporate elements of Brazilian music. Signed photo in performance with a signature on verso with a short sentiment, dated in 1986. Size 5 x 7 inches.

German guitarist ((b.1953) known as an exceptionally versatile artist and composer, with a special talent for improvisation. Signed half-tone photo. Size 5.75 x 4 inches.

German-Canadian cellist (b.1979) who has performed with many of the world leading orchestras. Signed photo with a short sentiment. Size 3.75 x 5.5 inches.

Polish violinist (b.1947), recording artist and professor at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw since 1994. Signed photo in performance, inscribed and dated in 1986, Warsaw. Blind stamp on front by photographer Bietkowski, Warsaw. Size 3.5 x 5.5 inches.

Danish pianist and composer (1821-1878), performed numerous concerts in Europe, created many pieces for piano solo and with other instruments, also focused in teaching. Autograph letter signed and dated in Florence in 1846, in German, sold untranslated, one page written only on one side, 5 x 7.75 inches, in excellent condition. Also included is a short music quote, handwritten and signed in German, untranslated, 5.5 x 4.25 inches, dated in Dresden in 1838, in excellent condition.

German violinist (1887-1962), performed on tour and published arrangements, left several recordings. Signed photo postcard, with a short music quote on the top left, 3.25 x 5.25 inches, excellent condition.

American pianist (1931-2003) who developed an important career in Europe both as a soloist and chamber musician. Hokanson left many recordings, and later in his life became more involved in teaching. Signed promo photo, 4 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.

German operetta and film composer (1901-1996), also composed music for television series and dedicated part of his career to conducting. His best-known work is the Tarantella Chi sa and his music for The Company Hessel Bach tv series. Signed photo postcard, inscribed. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian conductor (1909-2001) whose career focused mostly on opera. Signed half-tone photo, shown reading a score, inscribed and dated in 1970. Size is 4.5 x 7.25 inches, minor crease over the left, otherwise in excellent condition.

Argentinian-born Italian conductor (1915-2007), who focused mostly on opera, conducted at Glyndebourne, Royal Opera House, Chicago Lyric Opera, San Francisco, Met Opera, and many others. Signed photo, inscribed and dated in 1979, shown conducting. Size is 6 x 4 inches.

German-American pianist and composer (1851-1914), after a successful career as a concert pianist in Europe, Liebling settled in the US and focused in piano education, was mostly associated with the musical life in Chicago. Set of 2 signed autograph letters, dated in 1902 and 1907, in English, with the letterhead of the Kimball Hall in Chicago. Letter dated in 1907 is handwritten on 1 sheet, both sides, 5.25 x 8.25, while the letter from 1902 is 8.25 x 11 inches, is handwritten in only 1 page, has some cracks but is in overall very good condition. Both are sold untranscribed. Also included are 2 small programs from 1906 and 1909, for a piano concert by Liebling´s pupils and a lecture piano recital by him, respectively. Sizes are 5 x 6.25 inches, 4 pages for the 1906 program, and 4 x 7.5 inches, 1 page for the 1909 program. Both have folds, in fair condition.

Full Met Opera program for the performance of Tosca on March 13th, 2004, this was superstar tenor Luciano Pavarotti´s last night at the Met, a much promoted show and sought after ticket. Program is unsigned, complete with all pages and covers, and contains a nice 5-page article about him, with some photos. In excellent condition.

Italian opera composer and conductor (1774-1851), highly famous in his time for some of his 22 operas. Spontini has largely been forgotten after his passing away. Autograph note signed as "Spontini", in French, dated in 1835, to an unmentioned recipient. Sold untranslated. One page, 5.25 x 8.5 inches, boldly penned. Letter is affixed to a slightly larger off-white sheet, sized 5.75 x 9.5 inches. In very good condition, with central horizontal and vertical folds, a uniform shade of mild toning, and a small diagonal separation to right edge.

Austrian composer (1866-1937) and pianist, famous in his time for his music for string ensembles. Autograph music quote signed by him and dated in 1927, written on a page from an autograph book or a journal, with 5 bars for viola from his 2nd String Quartet in C-minor. Size is 8.5 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition. Rare.

Swiss-born violinist (b.1972), and founder of the Amar Quartet, Brunner is mostly focused in performing with chamber music ensembles. Signed photo, 6 x 4 inches

Hungarian-born bass-baritone (1813-1883), Hölzel was the singer of choice for the role of Beckmesser in the world premiere of Die Meistersinger in 1868. Gorgeous autograph music quote with 11 bars from a song for voice and piano, signed by him and dated in 1874, inscribed to his sister-in-law, Lulu Gerstäcker, in Vienna. Size is 5.25 x 8.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian-born baritone (1818-1872), creator of the role of Wolfram in the 1845 world premiere of Tannhauser. Autograph letter signed, in German, no date mentioned. Sold untranslated. One large sheet folded into 4 pages, handwritten and signed on page 1. Page size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, has folds, in excellent condition.
