Poster announcing a concert by violinist Zino Francescatti at the Fredric R. Mann auditorium, Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1965. Francescatti performs music by Haydn, Bartok and Beethoven. Size is 24.5 x 18.75 inches, in both English and Hebrew, in excellent condition.

Celebrated Austrian conductor (1856-1911), also composer and later teacher. A specialist in Wagner´s music, Mottl assisted Richter in preparing the first run of the complete Ring cycle in the first Bayreuth Festival in 1876. Autograph note signed and dated by him in 1906, on a medium size cardboard card with the letterhead from the Royal Theater of Bavaria, in German, sold untranslated. Size is 6.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition

Italian composer (1872-1956), very popular in his time, who focused entirely in sacred music. Amazing photograph signed and dated by him in 1902, with a short music quote from his poema sinfonico Mosé, which premiered in Milan just a year earlier under the baton of Toscanini. Size is 6.5 x 8.6 inches, photo by Guigoni & Rossi, Milan. Minor rust marks over the top left corner not affecting the image nor the autograph, otherwise in excellent condition.

Belgian soprano (1851-1886), famous for creating the role of Manon in 1884 at the Opera-Comique in Paris. Heilbron died at age 35 at the peak of her fame. Nice cabinet photo showing her as Manon, world premiere production at the Opera-Comique, 1884. A photo by Benque, Paris, size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

American singer and actress (1860-1922), much appreciated in her time as one of the most famous actresses and singers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Nice cabinet photo by Falk, New York, showing her in custom. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Set of 2 vintage cabinet photos, from 1880s or early 90s, showing the outside of the Paris Opera-Palais Garnier in Paris. Each one is sized 4.25 x 6.5 inches, one by A. Block, Paris, the other unknown, both in excellent condition.

Famous American soprano (1864-1903), admired by Massenet and Saint-Saens. Among other roles, she was the first Thais in the world premiere at the Palais Garnier in Paris in 1894. Sanderson died of influenza at age 38 in Paris. Original vintage cabinet photo by Benque, Paris, unsigned, showing her in the title role she created, dated in the back on March 16th, 1894, Thais world premiere. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, minor rust spots on front and some on verso (see scans), otherwise in excellent condition.

Star American soprano (1882-1967), Italian baritone (1866-1936), Polish-born German soprano (1877-1962), Polish bass (1874-1946), Belgian soprano (1873-1953), Italian baritone (1859-1918), Spanish bass (1874-1953), and American soprano (1878-1922) Stunningly beautiful, multiple signed photograph of the US Premiere of "Le Donne Curiose" (The Curious Women), opera by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari, on January 3rd, 1912. This was also the world premiere of the opera in Italian language, Arturo Toscanini conducted. Signed by almost the entire cast, Hermann Jadlowker´s name is handwritten under his image. Photo is 9.75 x 7.75 inches, was trimmed on the left and right borders and 2 signatures were partially cut in the process (Pietro Audisio and Angelo Bada), all the rest are complete, photo is in excellent condition. Very rare!

Famous German pianist, composer and teacher (1785-1849), at his peak, Kalkbrenner was considered by many the best pianist in Europe, and a prolific composer. Autograph note, addressed to the Gentlemen Directors of the Philharmonic Society". Letter reads "Mr Kalkbrenner presents his compliments to the Gentlemen Directors, and would feel much obliged to them if they would let him have back the scores of his Symphonia today, as has to look over some of the parts which never were well corrected. He would likewise thank them to let him know who is to be the leader. Sunday morning, 14 South Malton Street. One folded page, 8 x 9.75 inches (when folded), handwritten only on one side (see scans), in excellent condition, rare.

Hungarian pianist and composer (1813-1888) and teacher; a close acquaintance of many famous romantic composers of his time, such as Berlioz, Chopin and Liszt.  Autograph note signed by him, in one folded sheet, handwritten on both sides, showing blind letterhead with his initial on the first page. See scans. Heller writes to a friend (prob. composer Felix LeCouppey) mentioning he is about to leave for a visit to England, that he has been so busy finishing new compositions that he did not have a single free moment. He asks to give his regards to Mrs. LeCouppey and signs as St. Heller at the end. Size is 8 x 5.25 inches (unfolded size), or 4 x 5.25 inches (folded). Minor rust spots, otherwise very good condition, rare! Also included is a half-tone print with the pianist/composer image, probably from a book or magazine.

German tenor (1870-1940), very successful in Europe and in The Metropolitan Opera, where he performed over 1000 times. Signed photograph shown as the broom maker in Konigskinder (opera by Engelbert Humperdinck), a role he created for the world premiere at the Met Opera in 1910. Size is 11 x 13.75 inches, photo by White, New York; crease in the center, otherwise in very good condition.

Austrian composer and conductor (1869-1919), wrote songs and duets, made very early recordings as a conductor. Nice cabinet photograph by E. Bieber, Berlin-Hamburg, signed and dated in 1907 by the composer. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, minor damage at the top and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition.

German opera composer (1864-1949), one of the greatest of the 20th century, whose best-known works are Elektra, Salome, and Der Rosenkavalier. Beautiful cabinet photo of signed by Strauss twice; photo by Albert Meyer, Berlin, blind-stamped on the front with the year 1906. The first signature is in black ink at the bottom with the written text "Hamburg" below in his handwriting. The second signature is over the top of his head, in blue ink. On verso, a text in ink by a different hand reads "Heard Dr. Strauss in a song recital with Fraulein Schumann... Nov 21st, 1921". Size is 4.1 x 6.5 inches, in very good condition. VERY rare! Richard Strauss toured America in 1921 with soprano Elisabeth Schumann, and on November 21st they performed in St. Louis with Schumann singing Strauss songs and Strauss at the piano. 

Original wire photo taken on Oct 28th, 1958, opening night at the Met Opera in New York, with Dimitri Mitropoulos conducting Eugene Onegin. Mitropoulos can be seen over the lower right with the baton, in facing the orchestra. Original photo from the archives of The Baltimore Sun, a certificate of authenticity is included, 8 x 10 inches, stamped on verso by Associated Press, dated the next day.
