American soprano and film actress ‬(1882-1967),‭ ‬who was a superstar in her time.‭ Fine collection of a series of letters to her (none of them written or signed by her) plus some unsigned photographs and receipts (not all shown), in different sizes and conditions. Original program for a performance of his work Candide at the Martin Beck Theatre, New York, December 17, 1956 (world-premiered couple weeks before) signed by Bernstein on the first page. Size is 6.5 x 8.9 inches, in excellent condition.

Brazilian prolific composer (1887-1959), who was also a conductor and one of the most important Brazilian composers of the 20th century. Score for his work Sino de Aldeia signed and inscribed by him in Rio de Janeiro, 1920, on its page 2.  Size is 10.6 x 13.5 inches, 4 pages, folds, rust stains, in good condition.

Argentina prima ballerina (1909-1966) and choreographer whose career developed mostly at Teatro Colon. Nice black-and-white photograph signed twice by her (front and verso) in 1934. Size is 4 x 5.9 inches, in very good condition.

Canadian pianist (1932-1982), one of the most famous and celebrated pianists of the 20th century, and was a renowned interpreter of the keyboard works of J.S. Bach. Beautiful typed letter signed by him in 1963, with an excellent content and thoughts about the works of J.S. Bach (especially condensed on paragraphs two and three). Size is 7.25 x 10.25 inches, 2 pages, folds, in very good condition. Its original envelope is ALSO INCLUDED.

Spanish pianist and composer (1867-1916) and composer, his music is in a uniquely Spanish style and, as such, is representative of musical nationalism. Autograph letter written in French (translation included) signed by him where he mentions some other fellow artists. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, three written pages in one folded sheet, folds, otherwise in excellent condition.

American composer and pianist (1898-1937), considered one of the top American composers in the 20th century for both Broadway music and the Classical concert hall. Short clip from the printed score of his Piano Concerto in F signed and inscribed by him to his fellow composer Salvador Ordoñez with a short sentiment "my sincere admiration and good wishes!". Size is 9.8 x 5.3 inches, some cracks, in overall very good condition.

Italian composer (1876-1948) and teacher, best known for his comic operas. Autograph note in French (untranslated) on a postcard signed by him in August 1906. Size is 5.5 x 3.5 inches, two storage holes, in very good conditions.  

Italian soprano (1812-1867), particularly associated with bel canto composers such as Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, and early Verdi. Beautiful music quote signed by her, dated in Paris, November 22, 1843. Size is 7.5 x 5 inches, in very good condition.

Italian composer (1795-1870) mostly of operas, Mercadante was very famous in his time and was important in the development of opera. 1-page autograph letter in Italian signed by him in Turin, 1843, where he mentions the writing of a new opera called Il Reggente and mentions his previous work Il Giuramento, attached to a small portrait of him over the upper-right corner. ALSO INCLUDED are handwritten transcription and translation.

American playwright (1915-2005). Page from a fragment of his play Death of a Salesman signed by him. Size is 8.5 x 10.9 inches, in very good condition.

French composer (1865-1935), critic, and teacher, well known for his popular work The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Autograph letter in French (sold untranslated) signed by him. Size is 4.8 x 6.5 inches, three written pages, minor cracks, overall rust tone, in fragile condition.

French composer (1863-1919). 3-bar autograph music quote from his opera Le Cheminau on the verso of a postcard signed by him in Buenos Aires, 1916. Size is 5.5 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an un unsigned photo postcard of him. Size is 3.4 x 5.3 inches, some silvering, in very good condition.

American composer (1915-2001) best known as half of a composing-songwriting duo with Ray Evans, with whom he specialized in composing film scores and original soundtrack songs. Beautiful autograph music quote of his song Silver Bells signed by him. Size is 8.3 x 2.6 inches, in excellent condition.

Italian composer (1822-1903), violinist and conductor. Beautiful short music quote of his famous song Il Baccio (The Kiss) signed by him in New York, 1885. Size is 7.5 x 4.6 inches, in excellent condition.
