English opera singer of the Victorian era (1815-1879), vintage printed score for voice and piano for a duet from Norma (Hear me, Norma...), with Kemble on the cover next to Miss Rainforth, Bufford. Published by Oliver Ditson, Boston, c.1850s. Lithograph size is 9.75 x 13.2 inches, some rust and stains, in good condition.

Group of 6 photos taken during her performance in Poliuto at Teatro La Scala, Milan, in the 1950s. Each one is 15.75 x 10.75 inches, stamped on verso by photographer Erio Piccagliani, Teatro La Scala. These are enlargements made by the theater, made from either smaller prints or negative. Minor wear on borders, otherwise in very good condition. Sold as a lot only.

French composer and teacher (1892-1974), one of the most prolific and influential modernist composers of the 20th century. Autograph letter signed by him, recommending someone, with his address as letterhead, dated in Aix en Provence, December 1939. In French, sold untranslated. Size is 8.2 x 10.5 inches, has folds, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a half-tone photo of the composer at work, 4.75 x 7 inches, perfect to frame with this autograph letter if desired.

German conductor and composer (1849-1914), was the chief conductor in Lubec in the 1880s. Beautiful signed cabinet photo, dated in Lubeck in 1905, inscribed. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

English concert pianist (1916-2005). Amazing black and white photo postcard signed and inscribed by her, no date. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

French composer, organist, and music teacher (1837-1924). Large signed autograph music quote from Le Paradis Perdu (The Lost Paradise), a 4-part oratorio he composed in 1878 and won him a Prix de la ville de Paris. A great success in its time, the orchestral part of this oratorio has been lost. Music quote includes 4 bars from the 3rd part of this oratorio, with the voices of Adam and Eve and a solo cello. Size is 10 x 6.5 inches, inscribed, in excellent condition. A large, rare piece. Watch and listen a part of Le Paradis Perdu (Dubois):

French composer and music critic (1803-1856), prolific creator of ballets and operas, Adam is best known for his ballets Giselle (1841) and Le Corsaire (1856).  Autograph letter signed, discussing about the publication of his operas with an unknown recipient. One sheet folded, written on both sides of the same fold (see scans of front and verso, and translation), each page is 5.25 x 8.25 inches. In French, sold with a translation into English, in very good condition. 

Austrian composer, pianist and organist (1835-1899), who established at a young age in the United States, developing an important career as a pianist, composing mostly chamber music. Beautiful cabinet photograph signed by him; photo by Falk, New York. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in very good condition.

Italian conductor (1875-1960), his career focused mostly on opera, Polacco conducted at the Metropolitan Opera in New York from 1915-1917 and the Chicago Civic Opera from 1921 through 1930. Signed photo, dated by him in New York, 1915, size is 5.75 x 7.6 inches, an original photo by photographer Mishkin mounted in hard cardboard. Some wear on the edges and corner, otherwise in excellent condition

Italian opera composer (1801-1835), one of the greatest of the Bel Canto era whose best-remembered works are Norma, I Puritani, and La Sonnambula. Letter handwritten and signed by him, dated in Paris, May 22nd, 1835 - this is shortly before his death in September of the same year. Written in Italian, sold untranslated, Bellini is asking someone to help his friend Count Barbó who is coming to Paris. One page, 5.25 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.  ALSO INCLUDED is a vintage print of the composer, a nice addition to this letter if you wish to frame them together. Size is 6.5 x 10.25 inches, in excellent condition. See scans.

Signed photo on a program page, with a short music quote from Mozart´s piano concerto KV459. Photo page comes with some other pages from an incomplete program for a concert on Oct 13th, 1940 with the Concertgebouw Orchestra under Willem Mengelberg.
