Gorgeous, original program from the Met Opera, New York, season 1889-1890 (the 7th season ever), mounted on a double mat, ready to frame. On display is a very nicely decorated page showing ticket prices for seats, very cute. The rest of the program is there folded although it is not complete, covers are missing. Cast page is there, corresponds to a performance of Das Rheingold in March 1890 (not shown). Carefully mounted in quality acid-free double mat, showing page with ticket prices. In very good condition, will look terrific if framed, a great and original gift for the music room for any opera fan. Window opening is 9 x 11.5 inches, total size is 13.5 x 15.75 inches.

American baritone (1917-2004), famous for his performances at the Metropolitan Opera, recordings, and many broadcasts, and succeeded Leonard Warren as the leading American baritone after his death in 1960. Signed photograph, shown during a recording session of Verdi's opera, Don Carlo, together with Arroyo, Bumbry, and Siepi. Size is 6.5 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Eduardo Mata (1942-1995), Mexican conductor and composer, studied conducting with Max Rudolf and Erich Leinsdorf. Mata composed many works, including three symphonies, chamber music, sonatas, ballet pieces, and one opera. Signed photo, 5.75 x 8 inches, inscribed, dated 1979.

Russian-born American pianist (1898-1941) who started a fabulous career very early, recorded many piano rolls, composed and transcribed numerous pieces for his instrument. He died at age 42. Beautiful signed photograph showing him reading the news in a ship, 7 x 5 inches, dated 1933. Stamped on verso by onboard photographer D. Bremen. Beautiful, perfectly clear signature in black ink, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned photo taken on the same trip, same size, also stamped on verso by the photographer.
