American dancer and choreographer (1912-2001), best known for her stage shows at the Roxy Theater. Autograph note signed by her dated 1949. Size is 5.25 x 7 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition. English historical novelist (1889-1967), and also a factual biographer of Sir Walter Raleigh. Autograph letter signed by her, no year indicated. Size is 4.4 x 6.8 inches, 1 page, central fold, in excellent condition.

Russian-born Canadian pianist (1914-2002). Autograph letter signed by her and dated 1947, sent to a fan. Size is 8 x 9.8 inches, 1 page, folds, in excellent condition.

American actor (1913-1996) on stage, TV, and film; active 1934-1996. Autograph letter in English signed by him and dated 1950. Size is 7.25 x 10.4 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), folds, some stains, in good condition.

American adventurer (1873-1952) who distinguished himself as an automotive pioneer, balloonist, early aviator, writer, actor, and lecturer. Autograph letter in English signed by him. Size is 8.4 x 10.9 inches, letterhead, 1 page, folds, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is its original envelope, a greeting card, and a couple of drawings.

Star Irish tenor (1884-1945), world-famous for his recordings and performances of opera as well as popular songs. A fine clip with a greeting signed by him. Size is 4.8 x 2.8 inches, minor stains, in very good condition.

Italian mezzo-soprano (1850-1922), very celebrated in her time, with a voice containing a range of 2 and a half octaves. A fine album page with a text quote in Italian signed by her in New York, 1885. Size is 7.5 x 4.7 inches, in excellent condition. 

Polish-born American soprano (1893-1963) who possessed a voice of remarkable power, and was the creator of the title role of Puccini's last opera Turandot. An album page signed by her, adding the quote "Turandot 1933" (on verso there is one signature by a certain Joseph Royer - not shown). Size is 5 x 4.2 inches, right border irregularly cut, in overall very good condition.

Irish baritone (1865-1936) who was most famous in the formal concert and oratorio repertoire. Piece of paper with a 2-bar autograph music quote signed by him with a long sentiment. Size is 3.5 x 2.6 inches, in very good condition.

Polish star tenor (1850-1925), Polish bass (1853-1917). Set of 2 regular cards signed by them (one by Jean, one by Edouard) dated 1892 with a short sentiment (Edouard) and just with a short sentiment (Jean). Size is 4.3 x 3.4 inches each, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

French bass (1851-1914), one of the most acclaimed basses of the Golden Age of Opera. A regular card beautifully signed by him and dated in New York, 1907. Size is 3.6 x 2.1 inches, in excellent condition.

A beautiful collection of 51 unsigned photo postcards of opera singers who were famous mostly from the 1890s until the 1930s, including Mattia Battistini, Hermann Jadlowker, Sigrid Arnoldson, Emmy Destinn, Luisa Tetrazzini, Maria Ivogun, Medea Figner, Emma Albani, Adelina Patti, some Russian singers, and also photo postcards of Giuseppe Verdi with Francesco Tamagno and Giulio Ricordi. A fine album page with the signatures of very important opera singers of the late XIX century including Nellie Melba, Adelina Patti (who added a text quote "A beautiful voice is a gift of God"), Lillian Nordica, Jean & Edouard De Reszke, Pol Plancon, Emma Calvé, plus former Met Opera manager and impresario Maurice Grau. Size is 5.5 x 8.4 inches, overall rust tone, evident central fold, repaired crack at the center, in overall very good condition.

French soprano (1858-1942), American soprano (1845-11931), German-born British baritone (1850-1939). A fine album page with the signatures on both sides by very important opera singers of the late XIX century including Emma Calve (attached clip dated 1896), Emma Thursby, George Henschel, Marie Decca, Clementine De Vere-Sapie, and also the Dutch cellist Joseph Hollman and American violinist Nettie Carpenter, plus some other unidentified signatures. Size is 6.3 x 7.9 inches, overall rust tone, 3 missing corners, small hole over the lower-right border, in overall good condition.

French mezzo-soprano (1821-1910), Italian soprano (1811-1869), Italian tenor (1820-1889). A fabulous and rare large-sized album page with the signatures (some of them dated) of very important opera singers of the mid-XIX century including Pauline Viardot, Antonio Tamburini, Giulia Grisi, Joseph Tagliafico, Carl Formes, Enrico Tamberlik, Giovanni Mario, Manuel Garcia Jr. on the front, plus English actor Henry Compton and one additional unknown signer on the verso. Size is 8.9 x 11 inches, overall rust tone, minor cracks, loss of paper on both upper corners, in overall very good condition.

Bulgarian baritone (1897-1963), signed photograph, shown most likely in role, inscribed. Size is 7.25 x 9.25 inches, two bullet holes on top left and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in good condition.

Bulgarian bass (1914-1993), one of the greatest of the 20th century, known for both Russian, French and Italian repertoire.  Signed photograph, shown in the title role of Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov. Printed signature on front by photographer Villiani, Bologna. Size is 8 x 10 inches, several creases on corners, otherwise in very good condition. 

Italian soprano (1894-1948). Signed photograph, shown in the title role of Puccini's Tosca, inscribed with sentiment, dated in Brescia in 1942. Blind stamped on front by photographer Manzotti, Piacenza. Size is 8 x 10.5 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Photograph of the Italian film actress Diana Schipa (1925-?), wife of the great Italian tenor Tito Schipa (1888-1965), signed by both artists. Inscribed in Montevideo, dated in 1947. Size is 7 x 9.25 inches, crease on bottom right, otherwse in good condition. 

Super star Italian tenor (1873-1921), signed postcard photograph, shown as Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut with very extensive inscription, dated in 1904.  Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, beautifully preserved in excellent condition. 

French baritone (1899-1979), who worked in close artistic association with Francis Poulenc with whom he performed in France and abroad. Poulenc wrote 90 songs for him during their 25-year musical partnership. Set of 1 signed photograph shown as himself and 1 unsigned photograph with Poulenc, both 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition. ,ALSO INCLUDED: Autograph note written in English signed by him, undated on his personal letterhead. Size is 5.75 x 8 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition. Italian soprano (1891-1951), signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed with sentiment, dated in Milan in 1938. Bold handwriting and signature. This is a  6.5 x 8.75 inch photo mounted on soft cardboard, total item size is 7.5 x 9.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Argentine soprano (1896-1969), who enjoyed a major opera career centered in Italy during the 1920s and 1930s.  Signed photograph, shown as herself, young, inscribed in 1915.  Photo size is 5.75 x 9 inches, mounted on soft cardboard, total item size is 8.5 x 11.5 inches, small rust on top, otherwise in very good condition.

Canadian baritone (1935-2001), signed photograph, shown in role (possibly Benjamin Britten's Billy Budd). Size is  8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

American baritone (1911-1960), a much-celebrated singer from the Metropolitan Opera cast in the 1940s and 1950s, outstanding in Verdian roles, who died during a performance of Verdi's La Forza del Destino. Signed photograph, shown as himself. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in very good condition. 

 Italian tenor (1895-1982), signed postcard photograph, shown as himself, dated in 1934. Inscribed. Photo by Ancillotti and Martinotti, Milan. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.

Irish-born American composer and conductor (1859-1924), best known for composing many successful operettas that premiered on Broadway from the 1890s to World War I. Business card of music fan Gladys Greeley signed by Herbert on the back with an 8-bar music quote from "Le Prima Donna" dated in November 1908. Size is 2.8 x 2 inches, mounting traces on verso, in excellent condition.

Star Ukrainian violinist (1891-1967), one of the greatest violin players of the early 20th century. Bussiness card from music fan Gladys Greeley signed by the star violinist on the back with a short sentiment and a 2-bar music quote. Siz is 2.8 x 2 inches, in excellent condition.

Romanian soprano (1910-1949), considered one of the biggest stars in Europe during the '30s and '40s and Austrian film and stage actor (1899-1948), and husband of the soprano.  Double signed photograph, shown as themselves. This is a 3.75 x 5.75 inch photo matted onto a soft cardboard mat, with the signatures at the bottom of the mat. Total item size is 6.75 x 9 inches, in excellent condition. 

Italian film actress (1915-2010), shown as herself, signed and inscribed in 1938. Stamped on verso by photographer Alfredo Zoli, Milan. Size is 6.5 x 8.75 inches, in excellent condition. 

Original vintage record labels from the late 1890s to 1920s by companies such as Odeon, IRCC, Victrola, HRS, Columbia, and Victor with the printed information of the record, signed by the respective opera singer, Sizes range between 3.9 x 4 inches to 4.5 x 4.9 inches (for squared labels), and 3 to 3.3 inches in diameter (for circular labels), most of them are in very good condition though some have missing corners (please see scans provided for each label).NO RECORD INCLUDED. His baton used in public performances at Teatro Colon signed by him and inscribed to Cirilo Grassi, manager of Teatro Colon, dated 1928. Length is 19.2 inches, in excellent condition.

Argentinian-born Italian conductor (1915-2007), who focused mostly on opera, conducted at Glyndebourne, Royal Opera House, Chicago Lyric Opera, San Francisco, Met Opera, and many others. His baton used in public performance at Teatro Colon signed by him. Length is 17.5 inches, in excellent condition.

German conductor (1895-1965), known particularly for conducting the works of Gustav Mahler. His baton used in public performance at Teatro Colon signed by him and inscribed to Cirilo Grassi, manager of Teatro Colon, dated 1954. Length is 21 inches, in excellent condition.

Argentine conductor (1910-1996) and artistic manager for over 40 years of Teatro Colón. His baton used in public performance at Teatro Colon signed by him and inscribed to Cirilo Grassi, manager of Teatro Colon. Length is 16 inches, in excellent condition.

Hungarian-born Brazilian conductor (1891-1977). His baton used in public performance at Teatro Colon signed by him. Length is 14.75 inches, signature is a bit smudged, otherwise in excellent condition.

Dutch conductor (1907-1978), and also cellist and composer. His baton used for performances at Teatro Colon, signed by him. Length is 15.5 inches, otherwise in excellent condition.

Danish conductor, composer, and arranger (1902-1957), and conductor of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. His baton used in public performance at Teatro Colon signed by him and inscribed to Cirilo Grassi, manager of Teatro Colon, dated May 1954. Length is 16.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Argentine conductor (1890-1983) who began his career in the late 1920s at Teatro La Scala, Milan. His baton used for the world premiere of Constantino Gaito's opera La Sangre de las Guitarras on August 17, 1932, at Teatro Colon, signed by him and inscribed to Vicente Retta (1893-1967) who was the author of the poem on which the opera was based on. Length is 18.2 inches, in excellent condition.
