Greek tenor (1888-1971), whose real name was Odysseus Lappas, sang throughout Europe from 1914 through about 1940, made several recordings.  Signed photograph, shown as himself, printed signature of photographer in front. Size is 8 x 10 inches, mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition.   

Italian baritone and cellist (1855-1927), later American citizen. Signed cabinet photograph by Aime Dupont, New York, shown as himself. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Chilean tenor, signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed and dated in  Buenos Aires in 1944. Stamped on verso by photographer Sudak, Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires. Size is 6.75 x 9.25 inches, in very good condition.

Set of three signed programs from the great Danish tenor (1897-1972), with full cast lists for performances in Vienna in 1949 of Puccini's Turandot, Johan Strauss's Eine Nacht in Venedig and Franz Salmhofers Iwan Tarassenko, 4 pages each signed by the tenor on the cast page. Each is 6 x 8.25 inches, in very good condition. Not sold separately.

Bohemian stage and Film Actor (1869-1942) and his wife German film actress (1874-1954), double signed postcard, size is 3.75 x 5.75 inches, small crease on top right, otherwise in excellent condition.

Czech violinist (1857-1922) and also composer and pedagogue. Signed playbill of a 1902 concert performance listing all pieces performed with his signature and brief musical quote on verso. Size is 5.75 x 9.25 inches, small creases and folds, in otherwise very good condition. 

Program for a performance of works by Percy Grainger and other composers by the Waco Symphony Orchestra under the baton Max Reiter at Waco, December 19, 1939, signed by the composer on its bio page and by the conductor on the cover. Size is 6 x 8.8 inches, 4 pages, storage holes, central fold, in overall very good condition.

American pianist (1952-1996). Card signed by him with a 3-bar music quote from one of J.S. Bach's works. Size is 4.9 x 3 inches, in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a flyer promoting him signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 7 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

Program for a solo recital of works by Beethoven, Balakirev, Schumann, Bach, and Ravel by the celebrated Georgian-Russian pianist at Teatro Municipal de San Carlos, Rio de Janeiro, on December 22, 1943, signed by him on his photo page. American former game show host (b.1926), TV, radio personality, singer, and actor; active between 1950-2021. Magazine Spot Lite signed by him on the front cover, issued on February 1979. Size is 6 x 9 inches, full magazine, in excellent condition.

American actor (1927-2017) and singer; active between 1959-2014. Program for a performance of the play "Purlie" starring Guillaume at the Shubert Theatre, New York, no date, signed by him on the front cover. Size is 6 x 9.1 inches, full program with all pages and covers, in very good condition.

American comic book writer (1922-2018), comic, editor, publisher, and producer, was the primary creative leader of Marvel Comics for 2 decades. Fine color casual photograph signed by him. Size is 10 x 8 inches, in excellent condition.

American actor (b.1946) and film director; widely known for his lead role in the Lethal Weapon film series; active since 1978. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by him. Size is 7.9 x 9.9 inches, in excellent condition.

French conductor (1918-1995) and composer. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by him with a short 3-bar music quote dated November 18, 1983, shown in rehearsal. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

French dramatist (1781-1853), actor, who initially worked as a physician and settled in Algeria. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, no date, where he addresses a gentleman: "...voici, mon cher collaborateur le 1er acte, vous verrez que j'en ai considérablement abregé la fin. Il me semble que nous en obtiendrons plus d'effet...".  Size is 5.1 x 8.1 inches, 2 written pages, evident creases, in overall good condition.

French composer (1884-1940) and pianist. 8-bar autograph music quote from his work "Prière sur l'Acropole" signed by him, dated in Paris, November 12, 1923, on the verso of a printed document titled "Bulletin de Déclaration" of the SACEM (Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de Musique). Size is 11 x 8.5 inches, restoration along the central margin, in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a typed letter signed for a SACEM deputy, dated November 26, 1923, 1 page, envelope included as well.

French writer (1876-1943) and Art Historian. Fine autograph manuscript, no date, by Gillet, titled "Hoffmanstahl, poète de l'Autriche". In this moving memorial, Gillet attempts to bring back to life the works of the poet Hugo von Hofmannstahl (1874-1929), little known to the French public. We report an extract as a sample: "...C'était pourtant un grand poète, et peut-êtr, avec d'Annunzio, le premier de ce siècle: dans cette Allemagne de fer et de philistins, de casernes et de bureaux, de canons et d'argent qui avait succédé à la victoire de Bismarck et où Nietzsche, après une vie d'exil, était mort de dégoût, de colère et de folie, il était le premier qui eût ramené la poésie. Dans ce monde brutal, il ramenait par la main cette inconnue, ou celle oubliée, la Beauté. Il allait la chercher aux bords où elle était restée, à venise, chez cette reine déchue de l'Adriatique, dans la Grèce archaïque et les villes mortes de l'Argolide, où Schliemann venait de rouvir les tombeaux de Mycènes, les sépulcres des rois égorgées ; il écrivait La Mort de Titien, Venise sauvée, Electre, Oedipe, Ariane à Naxos. Il était de ceux qui pensent avec l'auteur de la Gaya Scienza : "Il faut méditerraniser la musique...". French pianist and composer (1843-1919), and harpsichordist; whose output included a piano concerto and other short pieces for piano. Fine vintage cabinet photograph of the pianist by photographer Reutlinger (Parsi) signed and inscribed with a short sentiment by Diemer on April 19, 1894. Size is 4.5 x 6.6 inches, in very good condition.

French architect (1845-1919), mostly known for having conceived the Théâtre National de l'Opéra-Comique. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) on the two sides of a card signed by him, dated May 22, [1911], where he addresses a gentleman, concerning the first performance of Debussy's "Martyre de Saint Sébastien" at Théâtre du Chatelet: "...J'avait été décidé hier (...) que la répétition général du "Martyre de S. Sébastien" serait purement et simplement supprimé en raison de la catastrophe d'Issy. Les protestations du public furent si violentes que cette répétitions réservée alors à la presse seule, eût lieu devant 2000 spectateurs....". Size is 475 x 3.6 inches, in very good condition. The "catastrophe d'Issy-les-Moulineaux" was an airplane accident during the 1911 Paris-Madrid air race that injured several public figures such as the War Minister Maurice Berteaux, President Ernest Monis, and Henry Deutsch de la Meurthe. 

French journalist (1829-1898), librettist, and navy officer. Collection of three autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated 1868, addressed to the literary critic Paul de Saint-Victor (1827-1881), concerning "...une pièce en trois actes, muté de Caldéron (1625)..." be performed at the Théâtre du Vaudeville. We report an extract as a sample. 13 février 1868:  "...Le directeur du Vaudeville [Gustave Harmant] m'a accueilli fort bien je le déclare, mais comme un auteur présentant sa marchandise. (...) Toutefois, j'ai confiance dans mon oeuvre... Elle n'est pas ordinaire .... Elle sort des lieux commun dont on le nourrit aujourd'hui...". On the 28th February, Détroyat writes to Saint-Victor: "...Je viens de voir, par hasard, Mr. Harmant et nous avons causé ensemble de ma pièce. (...) Tout d'abord, m'a-t-il dit, le sujet l'effroie. Il pense que mettre en scène aujourd'hui des sentiments qu'ont 80 ans de date est la presque certitude d'un insuccès...".  Different sizes and lengths (for a total of six written pages), in very good condition or better (see scans provided). French writer (1773-1850), and considered a reactionary writer on ethics, political science, and political economy. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paris, June 14, 1830, about the librettist Alexandre-Vincent Pineux-Duval, author of the libretto of Méhul’s opera "Joseph", concerning his absence at the Academy Jury meeting: “…j’ai l’honneur de vous prévenir que le jury de l’Académie royale de musique se réunira samedi prochain, 3 Juillet, à midi et demi…”.  Size is 8.3 x 10.3 inches, 1 page, evident folds and creases, overall rust tone, otherwise in very good condition.

Argentine composer (1859-1931). 8-bar autograph music quote from his work "Vieille Légende" with lyrics signed by him with a short sentiment dated September 8, 1917, on a regular postcard. Size is 5.5 x 3.6 inches, in excellent condition.

French musicologist (1863-1952). Collection of eight autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed, dated between 1941 and 1948. Most of the letters are addressed to the friend and singer of Debussy, Ravel, and De Falla, Marguerite Greslé. We report an extract as a sample: "...Ce que vous nous dites de vos élèves, de vos filles, ne nous étonne point; sous votre direction et avec vos examples vous formerez toujours d'exquises musiciennesm et ainsi le chant français, celui d'aujourd'hui comme celui de la vieille France, par vos soins fleurira. Vous me parlez de duos du Florilège pour voix de femmes; il est en d'autres, et des trios, voire même des quatuors en un album intitulé: Anthologie chorale des Maîtres Musiciens de la Renaissance française. Concerts du XVI siècle...". French librettist (1799-1875). Collection of four autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, one of them dated April 26, 1875. Letters are addressed to Monsieur Montigny, Monsieur Laforgue, and others, concerning theater lodges and private meetings with the Comte de Gouvy. One letter concern a correction in a text of one his work: "...j'y ai fait faire peu de changement, et au lieu de j'y ai fait fort peu de changements...". French composer (1856-1926) and conductor. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in La Varenne, July 10, 1924, where he addresses Alfred Bloch of the Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques, concerning a concert with singers Madeleine Gutty (1870-1936) and Madame Bonhomme.  Size is 8.3 x 10.5 inches, 1 page, folds, creases, in overall very good condition.

German-born American conductor and educator (1859-1937). Album page signed by him with a short sentiment dated in New York, January 6, 1920.  On verso, the album page is also signed with a short sentiment dated May 20, 1920, by the American pianist Olga Samaroff, pupil of Charles-Valentin Alkan. Size is 7.8 x 5 inches, in excellent condition.

French writer (1774-1852) and musicologist. between 1805 and 1809 he published a collection of 16 volumes in-12 titled "Quatre saisons du Parnasse", in which he inserted many articles on music, and notices on several musicians. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated September 23, 1812, where he addresses Mr. Loins, librarian in Paris: “…Je vous remets 1° le morceau de musique de M. Barni; 2° L’Esprit de M.elle [Sophie] Arnould avec une lettre de cette actrice qui sera mise à la fin; 3° quelques pièces pour le chansonnier de Graces…”.  Size is 6.1 x 7.7 inches, 1 page, folds, creases, overall rust tone, sealing marks and addressee information on verso, in very good condition.

French baritone (1833-1908) and professor, who debuted at the Opéra-Comique in Ponchielli's "La Gioconda". Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated April 18, 1888, where he addresses the art critic and journalist Félix Jahyer (1834-1907), commenting on an article about the Parisian Chronicles. Size is 4.5 x 7.1 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), in overall excellent condition. The original envelope is ALSO INCLUDED.

French playwright (1854-1913) and songwriter. Partly-printed document signed by him, dated in Paris, May 18, 1885, by which he gives his approval for the performance of his one-act comedy "Oscar Bourdoche" (1884) at the Théâtre de la Renaissance.  Size is 8.2 x 10.5 inches, evident folds, creases, overall rust tone, otherwise in very good condition.

French playwright (1854-1913) and songwriter. Short autograph note in French (untranslated) signed by him, no date [postal markings indicate 22-2-08], where he addresses the composer and lyricist Henri Bresles (1864-1924): "Alors, cher ami, et sans plus tarder, faites une grosse réclame...".  Size is 4.5 x 7 inches, 1 page, creases, dust stains, in overall excellent condition. French poet and dramatist (1850-1930). Set of two autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, no date indicated [1892 ca.]. Letters are addressed to gentlemen, and concern the music composed by Francis Thomé for his work "L’Enfant Jésus, mystère en 5 parties et en vers". We report an extract as a sample: "...je vous adresse une invitation poiur la répétition générale, en matinée, de ma pièce l'Enfant Jésus (...) nous vous serions obligés de vouloir bien consacrer quelques lignes à notre oeuvre après l'avoir vue...".  Different sizes and lengths, in very good condition or better. Letters are addressed to the critic Johannes Weber (1818-1902), concerning recent mourning and to the journalist Félix Jahyer (1834-1907), thanking him for the article he wrote on his "...modeste petit livre...".  Open size is 8.2 x 5.3 inches each letter, 2 written pages in one folded sheet each letter, folds, some creases, in very good condition. Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated in Paramé [Saint-Malo], August 22, [1883],  where he addresses Mr. Maquet, concerning the score of Meyerbeer’s “La Marche du Prophète” for his upcoming concert of the 27th: “…J’ai mis cette marche du Prophète comme dernier morceau à mon grand Concert de Mercredi 27 courant.
