French conductor (1819-1887), pianist, and teacher. Set of four autograph letters in French signed by the conductor between 1877 and 1881, concerning music and theatre matters. Different sizes and lengths, translations not included, folds, rust stains, in overall very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is his card with some lines signed by the conductor, plus a newspaper clip (not shown) about Pasdelopu by Adolphe Jullien issued in 1887 in "L'Independence Musicale et Dramatique" Magazine.

Portuguese composer (1874-?). Autograph letter in Portuguese signed by him, dated October 14, 1922, mentioning some of his accomplishments and accolades as a composer and some of his works.  Size  Size is 8.4 x 10.6 inches, 1 page, translation not included, central fold, in excellent condition. Spanish composer (1865-1945) and pianist. Autograph letter in Spanish signed by him, dated Santesteban (Navarra), September 1, 1911, forwarding his portrait and some of his music to a fan upon request. Size is 5.1 x 7.9 inches, 4 written pages in one folded sheet, no translation included, some rust stains, folds, otherwise in excellent condition.

Belgian composer (1835-1911) and basoonist. 4-bar autograph music quote from his "Villanelle Rythmique" signed by him and dated in February 1882. Size is 8.2 x 5.3 inches, printed letterhead, in very good condition.

French virtuoso pianist (1818-1862), composer, and teacher. Autograph letter in French signed by him, no year mentioned, addressing a gentleman about selling his royalties and property rights of some of his works in Italy for an amount of money.  Size is 5.2 x 8 inches, two written pages in one sheet (front and back), translation not included, some rust stains, in very good condition.

German composer (1821-1902) and conductor. Autograph letter signed by him, dated December 16, 1862, concerning music events in the city of Genthin. Size is 5.5 x 8.8 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), folds, embossed letterhead over the top-right, in overall very good condition.

Irish composer (1806-1893) and pianist. Set of five autograph letters in French signed by him in different years, about personal and professional issues. Different sizes and lenghts, sold untranslated, all in very good condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

French pianist (1839-1934) famed as one of the first-ever recording artists. Set of two autograph letters on cards signed by him dated in 1885 and 1928; the first about the birth of his son Georges and the composition of a quintet on the ocassion; and the second, addressed to the writer Irving Schwerke about an appointment. Sizes are 5.1 x 4 inches and 5.8 x 4 inches respectively, sold untranslated, in very good condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

French composer (1820-1882), pupil of Pierre Zimmermann and Charles-Valentin Alkan. Autograph note in French signed by him, no date indicated, addressed to a certain Monsieur Désarbres requesting extra beds or a new room in a hotel. Size is 4.9 x 7.2 inches, 1 page, translation not included, in excellent condition.

Austrian violinist (1850-1925) and composer, who founded and led a successful salon orchestra in the tradition of the Strauss orchestra. 7-bar autograph music quote from the composer's aria "Du nur allein" Op.122, signed by him, dated in Vienna, May 4, 1915. Size is 4.4 x 3.3 inches, some dirt, in overall excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an autograph note signed, dated 1916, to a theater director concerning a waltz. 

French composer, oboist (1858-1929) and music teacher whose Studies for Oboe are considered among the best to master the instrument. Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated London, March 10, 1859, addressing a fan, sending him a music quote a some verses of his own.  Size is 5.2 x 8.2 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and verso), sold untranslated, with letterhead, folds, in very good condition.  

Austrian conductor (1888-1981) and composer. Autograph note on a card signed by him, with no date indicated, stating that he has been working as a conductor for years and he is not involved anymore in composing.  Size is 4.7 x 3.4 inches, in overall very good condition.

Austrian composer (1858-1936) and Choir director. 5-bar autograph music quote from one of his works for tenor and baritone on cardboard signed by him, dated in Vienna, May 5, 1915. Size is 4.4 x 3.3 inches, in excellent condition.

French mezzo-soprano (b. 1931), signed photograph, shown as herself. Size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.

Spanish mezzo-soprano, celebrated in both operatic and recital repertoire, and pianist and composer (1928-2013) who were married to each other from 1957 to 1977.  Double signed photograph, shown in recital. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small crease on top left, otherwise in excellent condition. 

French soprano (1908-2003), signed half-tone photograph, shown in the title role of Massenet's Manon, inscribed and dated in 1937. Bold signature. Stamped on verso by Office Artistique photographers, Paris. Size is 7 x 9 inches, small creases on corners but otherwise in excellent condition.

Russian prima ballerina and choreographer (b.1940) and Russian ballet dancer particularly associated with the Kirov Ballet in the 1960s–70s.  Double signed photograph, shown in performance. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. 

Canadian ballerina (1923-2006), associated with the New York City Ballet.. Fine black-and-white photograph, shown possibly in performance signed and inscribed by her, dated in 1966. Also signed on front by New York City Ballet's official house photographer Martha Swope (last name only). Size is 8.1 x 10 inches, in very good condition.

French Prima Ballerina (1924-2004), choreographer, actress, painter and writer. Signed postcard photograph, shown in Johann Strauss's operetta Die Fledermaus, size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

French music hall performer, actress, singer, and dancer (1890-1926) who committed suicide at the Drury Lane Theatre in London. Signed photograph, shown in role, bold handwriting and signature. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Ballet dancer and later head of the Ballet School at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts (MCPA) in Halifax, Canada. Trained in the Russian School of Classical Ballet, he had an extensive career as a dancer, including with the Carl Roza opera company as well as a period in London with the Ballet of the Royal Opera Company and then with Sadler’s-Wells Company.  Signed photograph, shown most likely in role, signed as "David" in 1929. Blind stamped on front by photographer S. Georges. Size is 3.5 x 5.35 inches, small crease on top right, otherwise in excellent condition. 

British dancer, director and choreographer (b.1948), who was a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet. Signed photograph, size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Average size is 6.5 x 10.75 inches approx., mostly 1-page, in very good condition.

Beautiful collection of 10 playbills announcing opera performances and plays at the Academy of Music, New York, during the 1860s. Sizes range between 4 x 9 inches and 4.5 x 12 inches, in very good condition.

Set of 2 black-and-white and 2 sepia photographs of the famous ballerina; 2 of them ink-stamped on verso by Maurice Seymour, Chicago; and Dwight Godwin. Quite a unique souvenir of the old Metropolitan Opera building in New York, which was inaugurated in 1883 and demolished in 1967 after the opera company moved out in 1966. Piece of the curtain used between 1905 and 1940. Size is 7.75 x 11 inches, minor tears, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a sheet explaining the story of the curtain.

Program for a recital of the Austro-Hungarian soprano in Buffalo, New York, 1928, signed by her on the program page and also by her pianist Edward Hart. Size is 6.75 x 10.4 inches, 4 pages, minor cracks, in overall very good condition.

Beautiful set of two commemorative key chains; one of them celebrating the Met Centennial (1883-1983) and the other celebrating the 100th season 1983, whose designs are a replica of the tickets for the opening night in 1883 and 1983. In very good condition.

Set of 2 autograph letters signed by the Italian tenor on November 20 and 26, 1906, gently turning down the offer of becoming the godparent of the son of Mr. Silvestro in Italy. The letter from Nov. 26 was written by his secretary but signed by him. Each one's size is 5.75 x 8.9 inches, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED are 2 letters sent by Mr. Silvestro about this issue. Size is 8.5 x 10.9 inches, in very good condition.
