German soprano (1855-1930), famous for being chosen by Richard Wagner as the original Kundry in Parsifal, sang mainly in the Dresden Opera. Signed postcard photograph, shown as Brunnhilde in Der Ring des Nibelungen, inscribed and dated in 1897. Photo by Max Marcus. Size is 3.75 x 5.5 inches, slight creases and small paper loss on edges, otherwise in good condition.

Polish-Mexican violinist (1918-1988). Fine record sleeve signed and inscribed by him on the front with a short sentiment. Size is 10.1 x 10.1 inches, some creases, in overall very good condition. Record is INCLUDED (not tested).

Large poster announcing a performance of works by Berlioz, Dukas, Brahms, and Creston featuring the star violinist under the baton of the French-American conductor at Teatro La Scala, Milan, on October 20, 1956, signed by both artists. Size is 27.5 x 39 inches, actual poster has many folds and some cracks (not shown in the image provided), in overall very good condition.

Fine set of 7 photographs of the artists that performed for the 1911 premiere of Richard Strauss' opera "Der Rosenkavalier" in Munich. Artists include Charlotte Kuhn-Brunner, Friedrich Brodersen, Hermine Bosetti, Jean Buysson, Paul Bender, Raoul Walter, and Zdenka Fassbender. Each photograph is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, some silvering, minor scratches, in overall very good condition. SOLD TOGETHER, NOT SOLD SEPARATELY.

Italian cellist, teacher, and composer (1822-1901) whose full name was "Carlos Alfredo Piatti", actively performed for over five decades, and composed several cello pieces. Autograph letter signed by him, in Italian, sold with translation and transcription, dated in London, July 8, 1854, to a friend about the personal and music business. Size is 5.4 x 7 inches, 4 written pages in one folded sheet, in very good condition.

Italian composer (1842-1918), poet, librettist, and journalist; best known today for his libretti and his opera "Mefistofele". His personal card signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 3.3 x 1.8 inches, in excellent condition.

Celebrated Italian baritone (1824-1897), who created the title roles of Verdi's Simon Boccanegra (1857) and Renato in Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera (1859). Autograph letter in Italian (sold untranslated) signed by him, dated in Madrid, February 27, 1864, to the music publisher Leone Escudier in Paris requesting the publication of an article in his magazine. Size is 5.25 x 8.2 inches, 1 page, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1874-1946) and first sentimental companion of the star tenor Enrico Caruso until 1908. Autograph letter in Italian signed by her to Italian impresario Franco Fano, dated October 7, 1908, informing her new address. Size is 4.4 x 7 inches, 1 page, central fold, rust stains, in very good condition.

French composer (1823-1892), violist, violinist, and teacher, best known for his Symphonie Espagnole and his violin concerto. Autograph letter in French (sold untranslated) signed by him, no year indicated. Size is 4.3 x 7.1 inches, 1 page, some rust stains, central fold, otherwise in very good condition.

Italian composer (1872-1956), very popular in his time, who focused entirely on sacred music. Nice black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him and dated in Milan, 1899, mounted on a photographer mat by Giulio Rossi (Milan). Total size is 6.75 x 8.8 inches, in excellent condition.

French violinist (1933-1982), toured in performance and recorded extensively during his very successful career, before ending his life by suicide. Beautiful black-and-white photograph signed by him, shown very young in performance. Size is 5.5 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition.

German conductor (1891-1966). Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment dated 1964, shown in performance. Size is 6.9 x 4.5 inches, blind-stamped on the front by photographer Groger (Tubingen), in overall excellent condition.

French pianist (1877-1962), conductor, and teacher who was one of the most renowned classical musicians of the 20th century.  Fine black-and-white photo postcard signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, shown young. Size is 3.3 x 5.3 inches, in excellent condition.

Moravian-born American operatic impresario (1849-1907), director of The Metropolitan Opera between 1892 and 1903. Menu for a dinner in his honor at Lottos Club; New York, signed by him with a pencil over the lower-right corner, dated March 1, 1902. The menu is beautifully decorated with illustrations and Grau's image at the top.  Size is 9.9 x 15.3 inches, 1 page, minor stains, in overall excellent condition.  

German-Swis violinist (1891-1952), conductor, and composer. Larger-size sepia photograph of the violinist shown young in performance, mounted on a mat signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Total size is 13.4 x 10.1 inches, minor stains, in overall excellent condition. Actual photograph is 9.4 x 6.2 inches.

American dramatic soprano (1899-1972), very famous for her interpretations of Wagnerian roles, especially Brunnhilde and Isolde. Signed front page cover of 1946 Time Magazine issue featuring a photo drawing of her as Brunnhilde in Wagner's Ring Cycle. Size is 8.25 x 11 inches, in very good condition.

Two autograph musical quotes signed on a single 8 x 8.5 inch album page from both Alfredo Piatti (full name "Carlos Alfredo Piatti"), Italian cellist, teacher and composer (1822-1901), dated in 1880, and Charles Halle - Anglo-German pianist,  conductor, and founder of The Hallé Orchestra in 1858 (1819-1895), dated in 1884. Rare vintage item in excellent condition!

Star Russian violinist (b.1931) and his wife Russian pianist Natalia Serzalowa (born Natalia "Zertsalova"), double signed photograph, dated in 1982. Size is 4.75 x 6.75 inches, several small creases and bends, otherwise in very good condition. 

Russian classical violinist, violist, and conductor (1908-1974), considered one of the most famous string performers of the Soviet Era and one of the preeminent violinists of the 20th century. He was the dedicatee of numerous violin works, including both of Dmitri Shostakovch's violin concerti and the Violin Concerto by Aram Khachaturian.  Signed album page, written in Russian, sold untranslated. Size is 4.25 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

Program for a recital of the star German baritone at the Civic Music Association, New York, no year indicated (but around the 1950s), signed by her on the first page. Size is 6 x 9 inches, 4 pages, in excellent condition.

Italian soprano (1812-1867), particularly associated with bel canto composers such as Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, and early Verdi. Nice black-and-white print of her mounted on a mat, depicted as Rosina in Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" by artist David Bogue (1844). Total size is 9 x 11 inches, in very good condition.

French physicist (1900-1958) and husband of Irene Joliot-Curie, with whom he was jointly awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1935 for their discovery of induced radioactivity. Fine card attached with a half-tone photograph signed by him and mounted on a mat. Total size is 8.75 x 7.9  inches, card is 5.5 x 4.5 inches, some rust stains, otherwise in very good condition.

American actress (1926-1971), who built her career by starring in Paramount Pictures films and various TV series during the 1940s and 1950s; active 1939-1971. Fine card signed by her, mounted on soft cardboard with a half-tone photograph of her shown young.  Total size is 8.3 x 10.8 inches, in excellent condition.

American actor (1911-1993) and American actress (1907-1977). Set of 2 sepia photographs signed by the couple with their son. The first photograph is signed by both artists, and the second is signed only by her. Sizes are 7.6 x 9.6 inches and 9.6 x 7.6 inches, in excellent condition.

Prominent Austrian soprano (1841-1908), who captured Meyerbeer and Aubers' attention, getting her to perform at the Berlin State Opera where she successfully remained for years. An original carte-de-visite (CDV) of her by photographer Bergamasco signed by the soprano, mounted over a slightly larger piece of paper. Size is 2.6 x 4.25 inches, in very good condition.

English actress (b.1966), active since 1985. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by her with a short sentiment. Size is 3.75 x 5.8 inches, in excellent condition.

American stage and screen actress (b.1963) and former ballet dancer; active since 1982. Nice color promotional card of the one-woman show "A Disaster Begins" (2009) signed by her. Size is 5.5 x 3.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Austrian-born American actress (1928-1999) who worked in radio, film, stage, and TV; active 1944-1991. Fine black-and-white glamour photo postcard signed by her. Size is 3.6 x 5.5 inches, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.

British actor (b.1942), active between 1965-2007. Black-and-white promo photograph signed by him. Size is 3.9 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

English stage, film, and TV actor (b.1951). Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment. Size is 4 x 5.9 inches, some stains at the bottom, otherwise in very good condition.

English actress and director (b.1948), active 1956-2000 and 2007-2016. Fine black-and-white photo postcard with a printed greeting signed by her, shown at a very young age. Size is 5.4 x 4.1 inches, in excellent condition.

Polish virtuoso violinist (1835-1880), one of the greatest violin composers of the 2nd. half of the 19th century.  Rare autograph music quote signed by him with 2 bars with handwritten text about autographs expressing his concern he can be criticized for any possible orthographic mistake. The music quote is an exercise for violin mastering adding a quote saying "1050 times before breakfast and the same number after dinner", showing his sense of humor. Size is 7.4 x 4.5 inches, probably cut from an album page with part of someone's else autograph on the top, minor rust stains on the edges, otherwise in excellent condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an unsigned modern sepia photo postcard of the violinist. Size is 3.3 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.
