Italian conductor (1884-1941). Beautiful black-and-white photo postcard signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment dated in Rome, 1929. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, blind-stamp "SIAB" over the lower-right corner, in very good condition.

French musicologist (1834-1903) and Writer; he also wrote under the pseudonyms Paul Lavigne, Louis Sévin et Ubalde. Set of two autograph letters in French signed by him, as follows: A. Bordeaux, May 8, 1862, to a gentleman: "... I have the honor to pay you homage with a copy of an elementary treatise on modern harmony, which I have just published (...) the reading of your treatise on harmony is a real epoch in my life. This reading completely changed my ideas about what might be called the metaphysics of music, by showing me very clearly something that I was only glimpsed...". Size is 5.2 x 8.3 inches, 4 written pages in two sheets (front and back), in excellent condition. B. Bordeaux, May 29, 1863, to a gentleman: "... Your long-awaited opinion on the value of my notions of harmony has at last been formulated. It only took three words for you: I disapprove of everything. It's brief and encouraging..." French composer and music publisher (1813-1895). Autograph letter in French signed by him, dated in Paris, August 1, 1885, to the music publisher in Turin Giudici & Strada concerning an exchange proposal:  "... We have been told about the works of an author you publish - G.[iuseppe] Capitani - Would you be willing to exchange an example for us of the works of this author for one from any of the publications by Ketten, Thomé, David - composers whose works are sold in Italy -...".  Size is 5 x 8.1 inches, printed letterhead, 1 written page, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is an autograph letter signed by him, dated June 6, 1864, by a secretary’s hand, addressed to the music publisher Giudici & Strada in Turin, concerning the sale of the royalties of Adolf Gutmann’s (1819-1882, German composer) “au bord du ruisseau”, Op. 17.

Beautiful collection of three vintage hand-colorized engravings of ballet dancers from circa 1833, as follows: 1. Costume of madmoiselle Dorus as Oscar in "Gustave III ou le Bal Masqué"2. American stand-up comedian (1937-2008), actor, author, and social critic; active between 1958 and 2008. Color photograph signed by him, shown in his elder days. Size is 8 x 10 inches, some smudge over ink, otherwise in excellent condition.

Italian dramatic coloratura soprano (1871-1940), Italian tenor (1870-1940), Italian baritone (1876-1950), all leading opera stars of the early twentieth century and famous Italian opera impresario (1869-1940), who was the manager of La Scala (1898-1908) and the Met Opera for 27 years (1908-1935).  Beautiful postcard showing a seaside view of Trieste with signatures from each of these great artists. Signatures on verso. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, small tear on bottom left and small crack near the middle of image, not affecting signatures, otherwise in very good condition. 

American composer (1878-1963), known primarily for his song "By the Waters of Minnetonka", was a member of the Indianist movement in American music. Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, shown at the piano. Size is 9.25 x 7.5 inches, blind-stamped on the front by Dole Studio, crack over the top, some silvering in all borders, minor damage over the left border, in overall very good condition.

Italian composer (1883-1944), author of over a dozen operas and famous for his successful Francesca da Rimini (1914), still regularly performed.  Autograph music quote on a postcard with 3 bars from his opera "Francesca da Rimini", dated 1924, with an attached half-tone photograph of him over the left. Size is 5.3 x 3.5 inches, minor stains, in excellent condition.

American actor (1908-1996), comedian, and songwriter. Autograph music quote signed by him with 3 bars from "Rum and Coca Cola". Size is 8.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition

German-Jewish musicologist (1874-1951) and composer who spent much of his life in the USA. Autograph letter in English with his letterhead, signed by him. Size is 5.3 x 6.8 inches, 1 page, minor stains, in excellent condition. Envelope INCLUDED.

English composer and conductor (1822-1896). Autograph note in English signed by him about an autograph request, dated December 1884. Size is 4.3 x 6.9 inches, 1 page, folds, minor stains, in overall very good condition.

Italian composer (1876-1948) and teacher, best known for his comic operas. Autograph music quote with four bars from his opera "I Quattro Rusteghi" signed by him on an album page mounted on a slightly larger page. Total size is 6.25 x 4 inches, in very good condition.

German-born British music critic (1845-1889). Autograph letter in English signed by him with content related to the music business, dated 1874. Size is 4.4 x 7 inches, 2 written pages in separate sheets, folds, in excellent condition.

American composer and lyricist (b.1928), known for his Broadway musicals. Autograph music quote on a card signed by him with two bars from his song "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow". Size is 6 x 4 inches, in excellent condition. Watch the composer performing "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow":

Scottish composer and conductor (1847-1935). Autograph note in English signed by him, written in London, no date. Size is 6.9 x 4. 4 inches, folds, in very good condition.

English composer, and teacher of harmony and composition. 3-bar autograph music quote from his Symphony in F signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment dated 1933 at the Royal Manchester College of Music. Size is 5.3 x 3.25 inches, overall rust tone, minor stains, in very good condition. On verso there is an unidentified autograph dated 1936.

German composer (1926-2012), whose works include a wide variety of styles. 1-bar autograph music quote from an unknown piece plus an autograph note in German on verso also written by the composer on October 9, 1997.  Size is 8.2 x 4 inches, in very good condition.

German composer (1908-1982), focused on film music. Typed letter in German (sold untranslated) signed by him, dated in October 1978, with his letterhead. Size is 8.25 x 11.7 inches, 1 page, folds, in excellent condition.
