German organist and musicologist (1917-2007), signed photo postcard, shown making arrangement at the organ, signature is on verso and dated in 1971. Stamped on verso by photographer Ludwig Muller. Size is 5.5 x 4 inches.

American bassoonist (1923-1989), who was for many years the principal bassoonist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Signed photo, shown in rehearsal, inscribed. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

American oboist (1913-1978), signed photo, shown in performance, inscribed and dated in 1975. Size is 4.5 x 6.75 inches, creases across the top, not affecting the signature, otherwise in very good condition.

Spanish tenor (1877-1946), who had a very successful career in Europe and America, sang mainly in Madrid and Milan, specialized in romantic Italian and Spanish operas. Beautiful photo postcard signed by him, shown in role. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

Belgian-born French harpist (1845-1912), who was also a composer and pedagogue. Autograph note in French (sold untranslated) signed and dated by him in Paris, 1902. Size is 4.25 x 5.25 inches, in excellent condition.

Swiss oboist, composer and conductor (b. 1939), signed photo. Stamped on verso by photographer Schaffler, Salzburg. Size is 4 x 6 inches.

American flutist (b. 1944), who is also a writer and journalist and the former wife of famous violinist Pinchas Zukerman. Signed promo photo, size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition.

American musicologist and flutist (1905-1994), signed photo, inscribed and dated in 1946. Size is 10 x 8 inches, in very good condition.

German accordionist (1920-1974), who was also a teacher, composer, arranger and orchestra conductor. Signed photo postcard, shown with his instrument. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Also included is a small program for a performance in Lisbon, Portugal in 1953.

English harpist (1804-1871), who made most of his career touring and as a professor of The Royal Academy of Music. Fine autograph letter signed, one page, size is 5 x 8 inches, in English, sold un-transliterated, in very good condition.

Famous American harpist (1895-1983). Beautiful photograph signed and inscribed by her with a short sentiment, dated in 1956. Also included a short sentiment note, dated in 1942. Size is 8 x 10 inches, in very good condition.

Lot of 31 programs from the Vienna State Opera, years 1942 through 1944, most have ticket stubs glued to the top left corner, all in very good condition. Sizes range from 4 x 6 inches (programs from 1944, when at the end of WWII paper became progressively more scarce) to 6 x 8.25 inches (most 1943) and 8.5 x 12 inches (some of the 1942 programs). Sold as a lot only, not individually, see scans.

Concert for a performance at Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Germany. Stokowski conducts music by Ravel, Debussy and Shostakovich. Six folded pages, 5.75 x 8.25 inches, excellent condition.

Group of 8 Spielplans or Salzburg Festival performance plan programs, these are folded booklets showing all performances in the festival, each one is 4 x 8.25 inches each page. As an example, the 1933 Spielplan is shown expanded. All in very good condition, some repeats: 2 copies of 1934, 4 copies of 1939 and 2 of 1943, plus an extra, more detailed version of the 1938 Festival are all included in this lot.

German dramatist and novelist (1862-1946), one of the most important promoters of literary naturalism, received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1912.  Signed photo postcard, 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition.

Austrian-born American theater and film director, and also producer. With his innovative productions, he was one of the most prominent theater directors in the 20th century, establishing the famous Salzuburg Festival in 1920. Signed photo postcard, 3.4 x 5.25 inches, missing a very small piece on the lower right corner, otherwise in very good condition.

Lot of 8 programs from 1952-62 for the Musica Viva Festival by the Bavarian State Opera and Radio.
