Recently Added Authentic Autographs and Memorabilia

Star Italian tenor (1873-1921), who was also an amateur caricaturist. Very visually striking caricature made and signed by him, depicting Salvatore Fucito (1875-1929) who was Caruso's vocal coach and accompanist from 1916 to 1921 and who later wrote a book about the great tenor. Caruso made an abbreviated signature  at the bottom right. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, in excellent condition. 

Star Italian tenor (1873-1921), who was also an amateur caricaturist. Large 8.5 x 10.5 inch caricature made and signed by him, depicting Horace E. Dunkle, who worked for the YMCA and who was stationed in Italy during World War I - assigned to provide entertainment to the Italian Army. Caruso made an abbreviated signature (with his initials) at the bottom left. Small missing pieces of paper over the top and top left, but overall in good condition. The circumstances by which the two met are explained in a one page typed signed letter written by Dunkle and dated in 1923 (see scans). This document is 8 x 9.25 inches, small creases and folds, otherwise in excellent condition. Not sold separately. Rare vintage item!

French tenor (1871-1939). Lot of 1 autograph note signed handwritten in pencil on the verso of a 3.5 x 5.5 inch postcard with a view of a beautiful building in Wiesbaden, Germany, dated in Wiesbaden in 1914, along with 1 unsigned 6 x 8 inch photograph, shown as Nicias in Massenet's Thais. Both in excellent condition, not sold separately. 

Famous English soprano (1888-1976).  Autograph note signed, 1 page note written on the stationary of the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York, sized at 5.75 x 9 inches, 2 folds, in excellent condition. 

American soprano (1901-1991), performed at the Metropolitan Opera including in the world premiere of The Emperor Jones by Louis Grunberg in 1933. Signed photograph, shown as herself, inscribed at the Met, dated in 1935. Stamped on verso by photographer Herbert Mitchell, New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, several creases on each corner, not affecting image and signature, discount reflected in price.

American TV and film actor (b.1946) often playing the role of an antagonistic and aggrieved authority figure. Color photograph of a poster of the film "Animal House" (1978) signed by him with his initials and adding the name of his character "Doug Neidermayer". Size is 8 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. American actor (b.1954), writer, and musician and a figure in the sci-fi community/comic book fandom; active since 1957. Black-and-white promo movie-still photograph signed by him, shown in the TV series "The Twilight Zone". Size is 9.9 x 8 inches, in excellent condition. American TV host (1917-1998), better known for his work as host of the children's show "Howdy Doody". Fine color photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, shown in the TV show "Howdy Doody". Size is  7.8 x 10 inches, in excellent condtiion.

English actress (1925-2020), active between 1947-2015. Fine color movie-still photograph signed by her, shown next to Sean Connery probably in the film "Goldfinger" (1964). Size is 7.9 x 9.8 inches, in excellent condition.

American child actress (1925-2014), active between 1933 and 1951. Nice black-and-white photograph signed by her, shown in the TV show "Our Gang" (1922-1944). Size is 9.9 x 7.8 inches, in excellent condition.

American actress (1942-2013) and singer who began her professional career as a child performer; active between 1954-1998. Fine black-and-white photograph signed by her, shown as one of the mouseketeers next to Jimmie Dodd in the TV show "The Mickey Mouse Club".  Size is 8 x 9.8 inches, in excellent condition.

Star Spanish-born soprano (1843-1919), one of the greatest singers of all time.  Spectacular, large size, original salt print photo from around 1860, showing Patti at age 17. Size is 14 x 18 inches, repaired crack over the right border and near the bottom corner, visible from the back but almost invisible from the front. In very good condition. Very rare!. Original Salt prints of celebrities from the 1800s are rare and usually sell for several thousands of dollars. This is a superb find, offered at a bargain price.

French tenor (1897-1984), considered to be his country's greatest lyric-dramatic tenor. Active from 1924 to 1953. Set of 1 signed photograph, shown as himself, size is 4.5 x 6.75 inches, stamped on verso by photography studio Studio d'Art Galeries Laayette, Paris - along with a 1 page autograph note signed, 1 page, dated in 1966, whose size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches. Written in French, sold untranslated. Both in excellent condition, not sold separately.

Australian baritone (1900-1969), particularly celebrated in Mozart Operas. Set of 1 signed postcard photograph, shown in the title role of Mozart's Don Giovanni, one of his most celebrated interpretations, inscribed, size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, - along with a 1 page typed letter signed on the letterhead of the Essex House, New York, whose size is 7 x 10.5 inches. Both in excellent condition, not sold separately.

French tenor and actor (1878-1954), whose career was mostly associated with the French repertoire. Set of 2 Autograph letters signed, one a 1 page 8.25 x 10.5 letter written on his official letterhead, dated in Paris in 1936, the other 2 pages, composed on both sides of a 5.5 x 8.5 inch document, written on stationary of the Hotel Ansonia in New York, dated in 1918. Both written in French, sold untranslated. Small creases and folds on each document, otherwise in very good condition. Also included: an unsigned advertisement clip promoting upcoming engagements in Paris, Monte Carlo, Nice, and Rome, size is 7 x 10 inches, in excellent condition. Not sold separately. 

Hungarian soprano (1891-1987) and leading German tenor (1877-1958) who created roles in several works by Hans Pfitzner. Double signed postcard photograph shown in roles in Pfitzner's Palestrina, both having performed in the World Premiere Production of this opera in Munich in 1917. Size is 3.5 x 5.25 inches, vintage photograph in excellent condition!

Romanian soprano (1925-2023) who sang leading roles in the opera houses of Europe and North America, known for the dramatic intensity, beauty, and wide range of her voice. Signed photograph, shown backstage with composer Francois Poulenc (Zeani performed in the world premiere production of his opera Dialogues des Carmelites at La Scala, Milan). Blind stamped on verso by photographer Erio Piccagliani, La Scala, Milan. Size is 7 x 9.25 inches, with slight paper loss on several corners, otherwise in excellent condition.  

French soprano (1879-1939), sang a wide variety of roles in Paris beginning in 1905, later enjoyed an international career with appearances in Madrid, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Havana, Chicago, New York, Boston, Rome, Cairo and Constantinople.  Signed photograph, shown most likely as herself, inscribed in Montevideo, dated in 1915. Blind stamped on front by Felice photographers, Paris. Size is 7.5 x 11.5 inches, small crease on top right and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition. 

Bulgarian bass (1914-1993), one of the greatest of the 20th century, known for both Russian, French and Italian repertoire.  Signed photograph, shown as Kociubey in Tchaikovsky's Mazeppa, inscribed and dated in 1961. Additional inscription and signature on verso. Stamped on verso by photographer Levi, Florence. Size is 6.25 x 9.25 inches, in very good condition. 

American tenor (1920-2013), active at the New York City Opera in the 1950s, also a recitalist and oratorio singer, performed the title role in the United States premiere of Benjamin Britten’s “Albert Herring,” in 1949. Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed. Size is 8 x 10 inches, very small creases on corners, otherwise in excellent condition. 

Polish-Estonian coloratura soprano (1909(?) –1980), who also appeared in Hollywood and Mexican films. Signed photograph, shown as herself. Size is 5.25 x 8.25 inches, several creases on top right, otherwise in very good condition. 

Austrian film and stage actor (1899-1948), and husband of the soprano Maria Cebotari.  Signed postcard photograph, shown as himself.  Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.

A beautiful presentation print of Lohengrin at The Metropolitan Opera created by Howard Christy, published on Harper's Weekly on December 31, 1898, with his signature printed. Open size is 22.25 x 15.3 inches, central fold, in excellent condition.

German composer (1827-1863), who had a reputation as a pianist and saloon music composer. Printed score of his work "Four Musical Sketches for Piano" Op.52 signed and inscribed by him over the upper-right corner, printed in Leipzig, 1859.  Size is 10.7 x 13.6 inches, 9 pages plus soft covers, in overall very good condition. Very rare!
